Hemanth N R

I am a graduate student in Materials Science and Engineeringat the University of Washington, where I work with the Sol-Gel group advised by Prof. Guozhong Cao. Here, I develop data-driven models to understand lithium-ion battery degradation patterns.

I did a co-op at Electric Hydrogen in Natick in 2023 with the cell physics and electrochemistry team, mentored by Dr. Elif Karatay. My research focused on modeling two-phase flow patterns using computer vision techniques.

Prior to UW, at Log9 Materials in Bangalore, India, I specialized on LTO slurry chemistry and carbon-based supercapacitors.

In the past life, I graduated from National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, India in 2021. I worked with Prof. Narayan Prabhu for my thesis on charaterization of paraffin wax for thermal energy storage.
